This will help you make healthier choices and identify products guilty of greenwashing. But before we launch, we need your help! We are searching for the perfect name – one that instantly conveys the app’s purpose.

Scientists warn of serious health risks: microplastics have been found in human organs, including the brain. Sounds alarming? It is, research confirms the dangers.
Want to avoid plastic? That’s not always easy. Packaging and ingredient lists can be misleading. That’s why we developed this tool, which gives you a clear answer at a glance. Do you already have a name in mind?

We’re building on the knowledge of our previous apps, Beat the Microbead and My Little Plastic Footprint, but with a much more user-friendly design. Since these older apps no longer function properly, we’re replacing them with this powerful new tool that combines the best of these two popular apps.

Why Is this app better than previous versions?
The new Plastic Soup Foundation app is faster and more intuitive than our previous ones. It features a larger, up-to-date database and is based on scientific research. You can track your scans and make better-informed choices. The app also recommends alternative products and explains which ingredients contain microplastics. Plus, you can easily share your findings with friends, family, and colleagues. Additional features include challenges and the Plastic Diet, helping you reduce plastic use step by step. These are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the features the new app will include.
