With our Beat the Microbead- app, you can scan all your personal care products yourself to see if they contain plastic.
Our research shows that 9 out of 10 cosmetics products contain microplastics. What about your cosmetics range? Were you pleasantly surprised or disappointed?

Don’t panic, fortunately, there are plenty of very fine brands without microplastics. So, if you too would like to use microplastic-free cosmetics, we would like to help you.

Shampoo
Shampoos or conditioners without microplastics are in abundance. Microplastic-free shampoo is often available in the form of shampoo bars. They look like a bar of soap but work just like normal shampoo. An additional advantage is that shampoo bars do not require packaging.
Try for example the shampoo bars from Happy Soaps or Zero Waste Path

Toothpaste
Toothpaste and plastic,  we don’t need to explain we don’t want this at all. It’s ridiculous that the well-known toothpaste brands fill their toothpaste with plastic. The more sustainable choice is toothpaste in the form of tablets, free of microplastics and without the plastic packaging (which is poorly recyclable).
For example, try the tablets from Smyle or Weleda

Deodorants
Traditional polluting deodorant cans are no longer needed. Spreadable deodorants also work great! Just natural ingredients for effective protection against sweat.
Try for example the deodorants of Nuud or We love the planet
